Josh Dunn is a professor and the executive director of the Howard H. Baker Jr. Center for Public Policy at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. He specializes in American politics, constitutional law, and education policy. Dunn holds a Ph.D. in political science from the University of Virginia and a B.A. from the University of Colorado Boulder.Before joining the Baker Center, Dunn served as chair of the Department of Political Science at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs. His research focuses on the intersection of law and education, federalism, and the role of courts in public policy. He has authored and edited several books, including Complex Justice: The Case of Missouri v. Jenkins and From Schoolhouse to Courthouse: The Judiciary’s Role in American Education.Dunn’s work has appeared in leading academic journals and national media outlets. He is a frequent commentator on issues related to education reform, judicial politics, and constitutional interpretation.
