Michelle Cyrus

Michelle Cyrus is a diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) professional with extensive experience in higher education and community engagement. She currently serves as the Associate Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine. In this role, Cyrus leads initiatives to foster inclusive excellence, support underrepresented students and faculty, and advance institutional DEI goals.

Previously, Cyrus was the Diversity and Inclusion Program Coordinator at Morehead State University, where she developed and implemented programs to promote cultural awareness and student success. She has also worked as a clinical therapist, providing mental health support and advocacy for diverse populations.

Cyrus holds a Master of Social Work from the University of Kentucky and a Bachelor of Social Work from Morehead State University. She is a certified diversity professional and an active member of several professional organizations, including the National Association of Diversity Officers in Higher Education.

Throughout her career, Cyrus has been recognized for her leadership, mentorship and commitment to social justice. She is passionate about creating equitable environments and empowering individuals from all backgrounds to achieve their full potential.
