Paul J. Luna is president and CEO of Helios Education Foundation, a philanthropic organization dedicated to creating opportunities for individuals in Arizona and Florida to succeed in postsecondary education. Since joining Helios in 2006, Luna has led the foundation’s efforts to advance equity and student success, focusing on closing achievement gaps for underrepresented students.Under Luna’s leadership, Helios has invested millions in initiatives that support college and career readiness, early literacy, and postsecondary attainment. He is recognized for fostering partnerships with schools, community organizations, and policymakers to drive systemic change in education.A native of Miami, Arizona, Luna is a first-generation college graduate. He earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Arizona State University. Prior to Helios, he served as president of Valley of the Sun United Way, where he led community impact initiatives.Luna is active in national and local organizations, serving on boards such as the Greater Phoenix Leadership, the Florida College Access Network, and the America’s Promise Alliance. He is known for his commitment to educational equity and his vision for transforming lives through learning.
