Rebecca Silliman is the director of communications at Public Agenda, a nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening democracy and expanding opportunity for all Americans. In her role, Silliman leads the organization’s communications strategy, overseeing media relations, digital content, and public engagement initiatives. She works closely with researchers, program staff, and partners to amplify Public Agenda’s mission and impact.

Before joining Public Agenda, Silliman served as the director of communications at the Center for Employment Opportunities, where she advanced the organization’s messaging and outreach efforts. She has also held communications roles at the Vera Institute of Justice and the Center for Court Innovation, focusing on criminal justice reform and community engagement.

Silliman holds a bachelor’s degree in English from Yale University and a master’s degree in journalism from Columbia University. She is passionate about using strategic communications to drive social change and foster informed public dialogue.
